This is your hiking guide
Hiking program
The program is based on the wishes and condition of the participants. From our side, the focus is always on enjoyment. You can participate in all hikes or only in single days.
Day 1
On the first day, a half-day hike (2 to 3 hours) is planned:
From Saas-Fee with its beautiful wooden houses we hike past the beautiful Carl Zuckmayer house slightly uphill to the Bärenfalle and make a U-turn at Egge and hike back towards Saas-Fee. Along the way there are opportunities to stop for refreshments with beautiful views.
Day 2
On the second day before we start this 3 to 4 hour hike, we use the cable car to Hohsaas and marvel at the 18 four-thousand-meter peaks that present themselves in front of our field of vision. Back in Saas-Grund we climb from Bidermatten in pleasant serpentines up to Bideralp. Via easy forest paths we reach Saas-Fee. On the way we can stop for a break. From Saas-Fee there are several ways to return to the hotel.
Day 3
On the third day, an exceptional hike of 3 to 4 hours to the Britannia Hut is planned. From Felskinn we hike over snowfields, which are only passable in summer, to the Britannia hut. Stop at one of the most visited SAC huts. We should also treat ourselves to the short detour to Klein-Allalin. In front of the Britannia Hut, we return to the Felskinn along the same path.
Day 4
On the fourth day, a half-day hike of 2 – 3 hours is planned at the end:
e.g. to the Mattmark lake or a valley hike to Saas-Balen
Changes are always possible depending on the needs / conditions of the participants and the weather.
